South Carolina Home

The mountain side location of South Carolina Home provides guests with spectacular views of the Montreat valley and surrounding ridge lines leading into the Town of Black Mountain. Montreat Conference Center activities are within easy walking distance, but the facility that includes both the William Brearley Home and The Kirk Apartments is also secluded enough to be a “retreat from the retreat”. The Home offers several common areas and 16 guest rooms with shared hall bathrooms as well as Suite Carolina, an upscale efficiency unit. The Kirk apartments are located next to the Home and provide guests with more modern accommodations including kitchenettes. Each is a one-room unit with private bath and can accommodate four to six persons. The upstairs units all feature a small balcony and the lower units have porch areas to take in the view.
